One of the most common things couples tell me during their tour is: ‘I just don’t want to feel like everything is flying by.’ I get it. You’ve spent months — sometimes years — planning this. The flowers, the food, the photos, the music. The last thing you want is to blink and have it be over.
The wedding weekend format solves this. It works best, however, when you have a rough sense of how the time flows. So here’s a sample timeline for a Friday–Sunday weekend at The Era. Think of it as a starting point — we’ll always customize it to fit your vision.
Friday is your exhale. You’ve been planning for months and now you’re finally here. Here’s how a typical Friday looks:
The Friday arrival is something couples consistently say they underestimated. There’s something powerful about waking up Saturday on the property where you’re getting married, already surrounded by the people who matter most.

This is the part that surprises couples the most. Sunday morning at The Era is genuinely special.
Sunday morning is the bonus that single-day weddings never get. It’s the moment the weekend becomes a memory instead of just an event.
Every wedding is different, and we love helping couples shape a weekend that fits them. Maybe you want a Saturday morning ceremony to maximize the evening. Perhaps your rehearsal dinner is a big deal and you want more time for it on Friday. Or maybe you want Sunday brunch for all your guests before they head home.
All of it is possible. Furthermore, we’ve seen enough wedding weekends to help you map yours out in a way that feels genuinely unhurried and like you.
